Location Power

Flugzeug im Landeanflug auf Frankfurt Airport

Located  in the heart of the continent, Frankfurt Airport is Europe’s leading cargo hub  and one of the top 10 worldwide.

More than 2 million tons of cargo are handled at Frankfurt Airport every year. This makes FRA the leading cargo hub in Europe and one of the most important transport hubs in Europe. The 117 passenger and cargo airlines connect Frankfurt with 334 destinations in 100 countries (2022). This makes us the hub with the best "Total Hub Connectivity" in Europe (ACI 2022).
More freight forwarders are based here than in any other location in Europe. This makes Frankfurt particularly attractive for airlines.  One of the reasons for this is the airport's central location in the heart of Europe. The airport can be reached by truck from all European countries in just 18 hours and is directly connected to the busiest highway interchange in Europe. This optimal networking of air and road is unique.

FRA connects one of Europe’s leading industry locations with the world.

Frankfurt is among Europe’s leading business locations. Because of this, the city is chiefly known as a finance center, but the pharmaceuticals and chemicals industry, the automotive industry, and the robotics sector play a large economic role there. Throughout Germany, no other city has more corporate headquarters of international companies than Frankfurt.
