Access to the CargoCity Frankfurt

The CargoCities may be accessed around the clock. Here you find detailed access information for CargoCity North and South.

  

Registration varies according to the destination:

  • CargoCity South (building numbers 5xx):  Please preregister your visit via our Click-2-drive system. Afterwards gate 31 or 32 can be passed automatically via license plate recognition at the registered time.
  • CargoCity North (building numbers 4xx):  no pre-registration required
  • LH Cargo: Registration at Gate 25

CargoCity South (building numbers 5xx)

The easiest way to access CargoCity South is via the A5 motorway exit Cargo City Süd (South) (exit No 23; both from the north and from the south). After leaving the motorway, follow the signs to CargoCity South. You will reach Gate 32 after some 1.5 kilometers.

When coming from the A3 motorway, use the Basel/Darmstadt exit to go on to the A5 motorway (and then follow the directions above).

  

CargoCity North (building numbers 4xx)

Coming from the A3 motorway: Follow the signs in the direction of B43 Frankfurt Airport. On the B43 road, follow the directions to Cargo Center. Take the Cargo Center exit and then turn right on the airport ring in the direction of Gates 23-31. Gate 26 (entrance to CargoCity North) is some 2 kilometers on the left.

Coming from the A5 motorway: Leave the A5 motorway in the direction of B43 Frankfurt Airport. On the B43, follow the signs in the direction of the Cargo Center. Take the Cargo Center exit and then turn right on the airport ring in the direction of Gates 23-31. Gate 26 (entrance to CargoCity North) is some 2 kilometers on the left.

Coming from the B43 road: Follow the signs in the direction of Frankfurt Airport Cargo Center. Take the Cargo Center exit and then turn right in the direction of Gates 23-31 on the airport ring. Gate 26 (entrance to CargoCity North) is some 2 kilometers on the left.

The airport has two train stations connecting it both with the regional (S8/S9) and the international (ICI/ICE) rail network. Both stations are located in the immediate vicinity of Terminal 1.

When arriving by plane, rail or bus, you will find the airport’s bus terminal right across Arrivals C of Terminal 1. Shuttle busses departing from bus stops 10-13 (“Terminal 1 East”) take you to the CargoCities.

To get to CargoCity North use the WEST line. For timetables and stops please consult the document attached below.

To get to CargoCity South, use the CCS line during the week. On the weekend, line EAST, building 543, will take you there.
