Fraport sees holistic, integrated occupational health and safety as an integral part of the overall responsibility it bears as a company.
Fraport ensures that the necessary organizational structure and joint essential conditions are in place to guarantee health and safety at work. In line with the company’s mission statement and the commitment that Fraport AG has undertaken with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, occupational health and safety is a key element of our overall corporate responsibility. Fraport thus helps to create efficient work processes while also boosting motivation, job satisfaction and the identification of our employees both with the Group as a whole and with the Group companies at the various locations.
This is underpinned in the Fraport Group by the occupational health and safety policy and the associated guidelines, which are fleshed out in the “Ten principles of occupational health and safety for safe working.” These form the basis for how we work together in the company in a spirit of trust.
The company’s objectives and principles for occupational health and safety are based on its Policy Statement on Occupational Health and Safety. These are mandatory regulations in all Group companies covered by the MSH 8.0A (management system manual 8.0.A – Occupational Health & Safety Management at the Fraport Group), unless they contravene the local statutory provisions. The companies reflect these requirements in their own occupational health and safety goals and activities.
The occupational health and safety policy and relevant guidelines are enshrined in the following ten guidelines:
The overriding goals of occupational health and safety are based on the following principle:
“Group employees must be protected against accidents, work-related health risks and occupational diseases by preventive measures.”
This principle shapes the culture of prevention within the Group and its Group companies.
